Dawn Palowski, Executive Director
Dawn was born and raised in Derby, Vermont. She joined OM Fisher Home, Inc. (d/b/a Westview Meadows & The Gary Residence) in January of 2004 as the Business Office Manager and became Executive Director in 2012. Walk into either one of the OM Fisher Home properties and you can feel the warmth that has been created from her passion for seniors. Dawn is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, and recently completed her certification to be a Best Friends™ Certified Master Trainer (BF-CMT). She is a member and the past president of the Montpelier Rotary Club and a member of the Vermont Health Care Association Board. Dawn currently lives in Montpelier. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her close friends, three children, and their significant others. Her most important and happiest pastime is spending time with her two grandchildren.
Erika Mayo, Business Office Manager
Erika was born and raised in Vermont. She earned her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in 2019 from Champlain College. Erika began her career at O.M. Fisher Home Inc. at the start of the pandemic; she quickly learned how to adapt to the rapid changes within the organization. Her role as Business Office Manager has allowed her to develop a diverse skill set and deep passion for the residents, staff & organization.
Erika lives in Cabot, with her husband, Braiden, son, Luke, and their two dogs, Mason & Cooper. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, snowshoeing, and traveling.
Mary-Beth Watt, RN/ Manager
Mary Beth was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, the only girl of 7 children. She received her Nursing Diploma in 1975 from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Lafayette, Indiana. She accepted a job as a tour bus driver at Grand Canyon National Park. Eventually she worked as a back country and campground ranger for the National Park Service, where she met and later married her husband, Peter. They moved to Bozeman, Montana, and during the next 5 years, Mary Beth did in-home childcare and private duty nursing with elderly in their homes. She moved to Vermont in 1987 and has lived here ever since. Mary Beth went through an extensive RN Refresher Program at Fletcher Allen Hospital before beginning work with CVHH&H. Another opportunity arose to do in home private care in Woodstock, VT and Mary Beth made that commute for the next 12 years. She went to work for The Gary Residence as Director of Nursing in the Spring of 2008 and transitioned to Westview Meadows in February of 2018. Her favorite aspect of the job is working closely with the residents and their families as a liaison and advocate for the best possible medical care and healthy outcomes.
Sarah S. Sadowsky, MSW, LICSW – Resident & Family Services Director
Sarah is originally from Connecticut but always knew she would move to Vermont and has lived here for almost 20 years. She attended graduate school at the University of Vermont for social work and has primarily focused on the areas of aging, disability, and healthcare in her career. She is licensed as a clinical social worker as well. Sarah lives locally with her family, which includes her husband, two daughters and a dog. Her family enjoys recreating outdoors as much as possible, specifically mountain biking, snowboarding/skiing and soccer. They also love camping, music and gardening.
Mary-Francis O’Neil, LPN
Mary Francis was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Her family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida when she was fouryears old. Mary Francis is one of eleven children. Her mother and many of her siblings still reside in Florida. She came to Vermont many years ago to attend Trinity College where she earned a bachelor of arts in Psychology. She loved Vermont and worked for several years with adults and children with reading disabilities, during which time she became licensed as a reading specialist. After many rewarding years in this field she decided to make a career move into nursing. Initially, she worked with Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice as a licensed nurse assistant. One fine day she discovered The Gary Residence and Westview Meadows where she continued to work as an LNA, but went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Vermont Technical College. She has a son who enjoys spending time skiing and mountain biking all over Vermont when he is not working or in class!
Chuck Meeks, Maintenance Director
Charles (Chuck) Meeks was born in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Shortly after his birth, he and his family moved to Essex Junction, Vermont where he was raised. As a young man, Chuck spent several years in Alaska, moving back to Vermont when he was 26 years old. Since his return to Vermont, he has lived in Williamstown, Stowe, and currently resides in Montpelier with his wife, Diane. They have three children and a new grandson. Chuck has worked in the construction trades throughout Central Vermont and brings years of experience to his position of Maintenance Supervisor to O.M. Fisher Home, Inc. Chuck is responsible for all maintenance for both The Gary Residence and Westview Meadows. He was 2013 Maintenance Supervisor of the Year by Vermont Health Care Association. In addition to his expertise, you can always count on Chuck’s friendly demeanor and ready smile.
Deven Siergiey, Executive Chef
Deven Siergiey was born and raised in Barre, Vermont, and is the youngest of 5 children. His love for cooking started at an early age and while often people learn this skill from a loved one, Deven picked up cooking all on his own. He knew that he loved food and would research and learn new recipes on his own until he got it just right. This passion for cooking lead him to study the Culinary Arts Program at the Barre Technical Center for three years, which he completed in 2009. After Deven finished the Culinary Arts Program, he began working at Westview Meadows where he started as a dishwasher and waitstaff before stepping into the role of the breakfast/lunch cook in 2010. Then in 2015 Deven transitioned into the dinner cook position before finally settling into the role of Executive Chef in October 2021. Deven’s love for cooking is evident, he enjoys the creativity it gives him and bringing people together with food. He currently lives in Barre with his girlfriend Julie, daughter Alexis, and their dog. When Deven is not hard at work in the kitchen he is playing a round of disc golf at one of the various courses around Vermont. He loves to spend his time outdoors with his family enjoying one of their many adventures together.
Lauren Pasniewski, Activities Coordinator
Lauren was originally born in Connecticut and recently moved from Massachusetts to Vermont about five years ago, where she started to construct an off-grid, tiny home. Her home runs completely on solar power, which makes her appreciate the simple things in life like running water, and the even more decadent, hot running water. She shares her living space with her talented boyfriend who has helped greatly in making their home and her visions of it a wonderful reality. Lauren has a great adoration for animals, especially dogs, she has three of her own. Lauren studied Natural Resource Management at the University of Connecticut and has a love of the environment and wildlife. She especially enjoys gardening and birding. Her passion and zest for life translate well into her talents and bring great life to Westview Meadows!
