The Robert Frost Interpretive Trail was recently redone to make its entire mile-long length universally accessible. It now features two connected loops that wander through the varied landscapes that inspired Robert Frost. Several benches along the route encourage you to linger in the landscape, read the poems, and reflect on the beauty of Vermont’s wilderness. Picnic tables near the parking area also encourage you to stay awhile, listen to the birds, and enjoy a snack before continuing on your journey.
Come and admire the beauty of one of the last two working farms in Middlesex. You’ll have an opportunity for hands-on practice grooming the horses. You may also simply observe and enjoy the tranquil setting. Pease Farm offers therapy programs and is able to accommodate everyone!
Pauline is a watercolor artist who will offer guidance and instruction during this immersive painting session.
Few North American birds can evoke in us the wild, visceral, and pleasing sensation that comes in the company of a Common Loon. Their success story is an example of citizens and scientists working together in conservation. A Biologist from VCE will be here to speak about the current work they’re doing on behalf of loons.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of great music, great food, great fun! With entertainment provided by Andy Pitt. Please be sure to RSVP by Friday, August 9th, 2024 to Carrie Barrett at [email protected] or (802) 223-1068 ext. 4.
Sarah Graves from the Magic Bean Farm will be at Westview Meadows to teach residents how to make bracelet corsages. Using flowers grown on her farm you will create beautiful, wearable works of art that you can show off to family and friends.
While the world’s top athletes compete in Paris, we will host our very own mini-Olympics! There will be challenges of both athleticism and wit, with individual and team competitions, and a staff relay! Choose one or all to compete in. After the fun, we’ll have an awards ceremony for all of our competitors.
We will also need cheerleaders on the sidelines, cheering and waving those pom poms!
