Cindy Bruzzese, the Executive Director of the Vermont Ethics Network will be visiting Westview Meadows to give a presentation with information surrounding Advanced Directives in Vermont. She will be bringing with her, materials to give to participants to aid them in beginning the process for clarifying end-of-life decisions.

“2019 marks the 17th year of the Vermont Reads program, in which the Vermont Humanities Council invites citizens across the state to read the same book and participate in a wide variety of community activities related to the book’s themes. Over 200 different Vermont towns, cities, and villages have participated in Vermont Reads to date. Vermont sent far more sharpshooters to the Union armies than any other state, on a per capita basis. By the hundreds, Vermont marksmen passed the rigorous marksmanship test to join one of three Vermont companies. And sharpshooters from this state played a little-known but major role at Gettysburg, the great Union victory that changed the Civil War’s course. Historian Howard Coffin will discuss his recent research into this little recognized group and consider the reasons why Vermont may have been so well-represented in this elite group of marksmen.To learn more about the event, please visit the following link. U-32 High School Select Chorus students will be coming to perform some Christmas classics!
All are welcome to join in a sing-a-long for the holidays with many favorite classic jingles and tunes!
This acoustic music festival is sure to please any and all music lovers with a variety of music tastes! Musical artists, Sandy Weaver along with Jacob and Gretta Stone, will be visiting to wow their audience with a performance that includes popular songs, show tunes, folk songs, instrumental and Celtic music, and even the opportunity for everyone to sing along to some of their most beloved songs. Instruments will include, guitar, banjo, fiddle, and an occasional drum accompaniment.
