Many of us have been touched by dementia in our lives. Some of us may even have dementia, so what does this mean for us? How can we adapt to the changes that go on in our lives? Please join us on this fantastic discussion surrounding dementia, its symptoms and coping mechanisms for ourselves and our loved ones living with dementia. Did you know that there are over 11,000 Vermonters living with Alzheimer’s disease? This will be an opportunity to learn about the different types of aging, different types of Dementia; and to learn how you can best support someone you love who might be beginning to show signs of Dementia. This lecture will be presented by a Teepa Snow certified, Dementia Care Trainer, using the “Positive Approach to Care” model.
